As many of you know, the congressional hearing regarding big tech’s impact on small business took place yesterday, November 14, 2019. As a result of that hearing, we are imploring each Innkeeper in our industry to email important documents to the Congressional House and Senate members in your state as part of our next steps.

We realize you’re busy as Innkeepers – you have rooms to clean, breakfasts to make – however, this matter is urgent to your business’s future, so you MUST ACT NOW.

Congress’s last day in session before the holiday break is November 21, 2019, just one week from today, which means we have a very small window in which to act.

Below you will find starter template documents that you may use to communicate with your Congressional House and Senate members, as well as links to locate the emails / email forms for both your state senators and house representatives.

Step 1: Download WORD Doc Starter Templates below to use to share with both your House and Senate State Representatives.

• Innkeepers may use any part of this documentation.
• If you are in a hurry, just replace the RED fill-in information with your information.
• If you have time, make sure to tell your own story in the space provided below the 2nd paragraph.

Step 2: Look up your Congressional House and Senate member’s Email / Email Form link and send them the corresponding documentation (once you’ve updated it, or written your information in your own words) from Step 1.

Remember, make sure you email them this important documentation BEFORE they break for the holidays on November 21, 2019. The sooner the better!

Note: Many of your legislators may not provide you an email address, but instead offer you a link to a form to share your concerns.   If this is the case, please copy your letter and paste it into the message box, complete the other necessary fields and send your comments via the form.  See sample below.
